Yes You CanYes You Can!

Whether you love or hate him, Barack Obama has captured the worlds attention.

In 2007 he announced his candidacy and intentions to become president with these words;

“And if you will join me in this improbable quest, if you feel destiny calling, and see as I see, a future of endless possibility stretching before us; if you sense, as I sense, that the time is now to shake off our slumber, and slough off our fear, and make good on the debt we owe past and future generations, then I’m ready to take up the cause, and march with you, and work with you. Together, starting today, let us finish the work that needs to be done, and usher in a new birth of freedom on this Earth.”

Beautiful words that fall softly into our hearts. And we connect with them because they speak to our hopes and dreams. To the ideals and visions that we keep secret and to ourselves.

And maybe for an hour, a day, a week those words will inspire us to greatness but after that what happens? Continue Reading…

Creating Opportunity

Creating Opportunity“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain

A dance between two worlds.

Internal insight and analysis. External expression and creation.

It’s never going to be finished. You’re never going to be finished. Continue Reading…

Is Failure An Option?

“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable but more useful than a life spent in doing nothing.” George Bernard Shaw

Why are we so afraid to fail?

I don’t think children even know what failure is. Or if they do they choose to ignore it. Focussing on their goal instead. Totally absorbed by it. Learning from each time that they fall short.

How many times does a child fall down before they finally learn to walk? 50, 75, or maybe even 100 times? Maybe even more.

Imagine that those little ones gave up after the first, second or even the third try at something new.

But this is exactly what we adults do. Well that’s if we choose to do anything at all. We either give up too soon, don’t try at all, or fail to see the wisdom hidden within the experience itself.

Well I say that in order to grow, to flow, and to find the greatest fulfillment in life we must Continue Reading…

Be Inspirational!

Guest Post by Naomi Ozaniec

“The gift of creative inspiration belongs to everyone, not merely the outstanding figures of history, it is the special enzyme of human experience which makes us the co-creators of our own existence.”

Where does inspiration come from? Who gets inspired? What is the value of inspiration?

Inspiration is a uniquely human quality, invisible as breath, it’s nevertheless at the heart of our power to manifest, to create, to solve a problem, to envision the future and fulfill the many powers that define our humanity.

The word inspire is derived from inspirare meaning, ‘to breathe ,’ any connection between the breath and an intangible moment of revelation may seem curious to us. But in the past, the voice of inspiration was imbued with an almost mystical power.

When creation was viewed as an act of divine intent, human creativity was also seen to be gifted by divine approval.

Inspiration was a gift of the spirit, invisibly conceived and divinely bestowed through pneuma meaning breath but also spirit or soul. Continue Reading…
