Archives For peace

Bigger Than OurselvesYou ever been swept up in something so big it really breaks you free from the person you were before? Maybe you’ve experienced that feeling from a movie, a concert? Maybe during a rally or march? Or maybe even from love itself?

Something that touches a deeper part of you? That moves you? Connects you to the world in a such a way that you no longer feel alone?

It’s happened to me in several different ways. All of them special and unique. All of them connecting me with the greatness that lies within. And revealling to me that we all are bound together in oneness.

There’s one such moment that I’ve been honored to help champion over the years. A movement that I am humbled and grateful to be a part of – and that’s Peace Day.

I have the privilege to stand with people from around the world raising their voices for peace. An effort spearheaded by my dear friend and inspiration Lynne Hazelden of Peace In Our Lifetime.

This year she has amassed a huge community of people from around the globe to celebrate peace.

WORLD PEACE PRAYER

& MEDITATION

© Ian Paul Marshall

There Is One Peace, One Power, One Presence that permeates and penetrates all the universe. It is a Force for Good. It is the Source of all Existence. It is alive in all things. It is an Energy available to all humanity and is present now in this very moment.

I realize now that I am a pillar of Peace. I know that I am one with this Power. This Glorious Presence is the very foundation of my being. This Cosmic Energy flows through me and connects me to all humanity.

I choose now to use the mighty power of my mind to create a world worthy of us all. I steer my thoughts toward Peace, Love and Co-Operation and I can see all the people of the world joined together in a Joyful Celebration of Life.

This energy that I release transforms this moment and all eternity. Generations to come shall be blessed with a world founded upon Peace. For I know now that Peace begins with me and is Humanities rightful legacy. A legacy that I live out daily with all my thoughts, words and actions.

Peace is here now!

Peace is here Forever!

I give thanks for this sacred moment of Peace. I give thanks for an eternity of Peace. I give thanks for my global family who lives in Peace. I give thanks for the bonds of love that bind us together and give us strength and courage to create the world of our dreams.

A Peaceful World.

A Loving World.

A World Full Of Infinite Possibilities.

I am One with all of Existence. I am One with the Source of Life itself. I am One with the Presence of Peace and I share these blessings with all the world.

I know that my words are filled with Truth and Power and I release them to the Universal Law of Life. I know that as I have said it so shall it be.

And so it is.

Peace. Peace. Peace.

How To Find The Peace Within

Peace WithinThis week I interviewed Peace pioneer Lynne Hazelden from Peace In Our Lifetime. She’s an inspirational woman with a passion for peace that’s contagious.

In our crazy and hectic world it’s hard to find a moments peace. Sit back and relax. Spend some time unwinding. Do something you enjoy. Read a book, play Cheekybingo.com or get a massage if you that will help you! Grab a cup of tea, and let this queen of peace help you to find the peace within you and how to share that peace with the world.

Unleashing The Power Within You

BWC-SM“A new species is arising on the planet. It is arising now, and you are it!”
~ Eckhart Tolle

Here’s some interesting facts…

81 percent of people polled in a global survey done by the Center For Work-Life Policy said that their careers are affecting their health in a negative way. 59 percent of them said that their relationships have suffered. And 50 percent of the people polled went so far as to say that even their sex life was worse because of the stress they experienced on the job.

Is there more to life than killing ourselves working at a job that we hate?

People from all over the world believe there is. Even going so far as to think that it’s time to really change the collective direction where humanity is heading. You’re one of the courageous souls who has answered that call and I am eternally grateful to you for that.

People from all over the globe, irregardless of color, country or religious background are awakening to the universal language of love.

Humanity is opening is itself up to a new dawn.

A brilliant awareness is emerging within each and every one of us.

We’re reaching a moment of clarity where we’re finally accepting our own divinity and choosing to take responsibility for our own lives and the world in which we call home.

If we become quiet for but a moment we can feel deep within ourselves something stirring. That a global awakening is coming. Beyond our everyday lives we know that the next step in our evolution is fast approaching.

Humanity as a whole is starting to tap into the universal matrix of creation itself and we’re truly beginning to see and understand the true inter-connectivity of us all.

We’re all being presented with an amazing opportunity now. Humanity is coming to a point in it’s evolution where a major change is possible. But that change has to happen within ourselves. We have to become the change we wish to see within the world.

It’s my hope that this article, Becoming A World Changer, will help you unleash the amazing power within you.  For you are amazing and there is a magnificence within you that’s beyond anything that you can imagine.

Good Luck What Is It Really?

Good Luck

flc“I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.”

~ Thomas Jefferson

So what does it mean to be lucky? Or what has happened when we run into a string of good luck?

I think the quote above by Thomas Jefferson can give us a couple clues on the subject of good luck and how we can draw more of it into our lives.

First of all is believing in luck or believing that you are actually a lucky person is the start of the process. Another way of saying this in Law of Attraction terms is to believe that the universe will and does conspire in your favor. That whatever it is you hold within your mind with a feeling of completion shall eventually be yours.

Utilizing The Law of Attraction

by Jack Canfield

loa

The law of attraction states that you will attract into your life–whether wanted or unwanted–whatever you give your energy, focus, and attention to.

You are constantly giving off vibrations of energy when you think and feel. These vibrations can be picked up and received by other people. That’s why people say, “he has good vibes,” or “he gives off bad vibes.” You are constantly giving off vibrations — literally!

If you’re feeling excited, enthusiastic, passionate, happy, joyful, loving, appreciative, abundant, prosperous, relaxed and peaceful, you are giving off positive vibrations.

The Call Of The New Paradigm

© Ian Paul Marshall

I give thanks for this precious moment,
This chance to be alive.
For life is sacred, special, and a fragile thing.

Realizing that it may end at any moment
I give thanks for all that I have
And strive to live each day to the fullest.

I have come to realize the power that is within me.
That my former thoughts, words and actions
Became my present state
And right now, in this moment, I’m creating my future.

The Twelve Keys of Spiritual Activism

Humanity Healing’s Twelve Keys of Spiritual Activism

“Yesterday is gone.
Tomorrow has not yet come.
We have only today.
Let us begin.”
~ Mother Theresa

The embrace of the path of Spiritual Activism enables individuals or groups to develop the noble qualities of compassion, wisdom and gratitude. It is in itself a Path of Transformation – a Spiritual Blueprint for living. We can shift our perspectives of reality through seeking service beyond self by practicing the Gifts of Service. The core dynamics behind the Spiritual Keys of Activism are creativity, adaptability, understanding and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Spiritual Activism Key 1

1. All Action MUST be Based on Compassion

When championing a Cause, the mindset must be altruistic and the motivating emotion must be positive. Spiritual Activism is action for the benefit of something, not against something.

“When you have a pro-peace rally, I will be there.”
~ Mother Theresa’s response to a question about why she did not attend an anti-war rally.

Spiritual Activism Key 2

2. Compassion Flows from the Understanding of the Connection Between All Living Beings

We are all connected through our shared Humanity. When you learn to see that our differences are superficial and our similarities manifest, sympathy (or worse, pity) gives way to compassion. Our actions shift from one of “us helping them” to one of “for the good of All”. We become One.

“The whole idea of compassion is based on a keen awareness of the interdependence of all these living beings, which are all part of one another, and all involved in one another.”
~ Thomas Merton

Spiritual Activism Key 3

3. Compassion Must Be Applied With Wisdom

There are more Causes that exist than an individual or group can possibly be involved with. It is important to choose your causes carefully. Learn to Act instead of React.

“That is true wisdom, to know how to alter one’s mind when occasion demands it.”
~ Terence

Spiritual Activism Key 4

4. Apply Synergy and Teamwork to Accomplish Goals

Synergy is the process where two or more actions combine to produce an effect greater than the sum of its individual parts. Like ripples in a pond, spiritual actions combine and build on each other to magnify an effect beyond what each could do individually. Whenever possible, team up with others to acquire a multifaceted and more holistic approach.

“The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.”
~ Unknown

Spiritual Activism Key 5

5. Spiritual Activism is the Pursuit of Service for the Good of All, Not for the Advancement or Benefit of Individuals or Selected Communities

The mindset behind your actions must be noble, holistic, Universal and non-partisan. Be mindful that ego and self-service have no place in Spiritual Activism.

“Common folk, not statesmen, nor generals nor great men of affairs, but just simple plain men and women, can do something to build a better, peaceful world. The future hope of peace lies with such personal service.”
~ Henry Cadbury

“Reverence for Life affords me my fundamental principle of morality, namely, that good consists in maintaining, assisting, and enhancing life and that to destroy, harm, or to hinder life is evil. Affirmation of the world — that is affirmation of the will to live, which appears in phenomenal forms all around me — is only possible for me in that I give myself out for other life.”
~ Albert Schweitzer

Spiritual Activism Key 6

6. Pursue Integrity, Honesty and Dignity in the Conduct of Your Actions

Embrace Mindfulness in the application of your activities and be aware of how your actions may be perceived by others. Machiavelli’s “The ends justify the means” has no place in Spiritual Activism. If our methods are not noble, our results will not be either. Practice Spiritual Transparency, allowing negative energies to bypass your system without harming it.

“Integrity is doing the right thing even if no one is watching.”
~ Unknown

Spiritual Activism Key 7

7. Do not Defame Your Detractors or Those Who Doubt You

A confrontational approach leads to a defensive reaction. Approach others with Openness and Compassion in your heart. Build on the commonalities between you instead of focusing on the differences. As much as possible, detach yourself from the results of your actions. Aspire to always be a Peacemaker.

“Honest differences are often a healthy sign of progress.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi

Spiritual Activism Key 8

8. Raising Another Up Raises You Up As Well

Helping another becomes a form of self-love as well as an expression of outward love. This becomes an upwardly spiraling cycle of increasing awareness, connection, compassion, involvement, capacity, and back to increasing awareness.

“Oh, Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.”
~Saint Francis Prayer

“Compassionate action involves working with ourselves as much as working with others.”
~ Pema Chodron

Spiritual Activism Key 9

9. Learn to Listen to Your Heart and Not Your Mind
You mind may only see the problem. Your heart will always feel the solution. Learn to act with Faith and cultivate a loving perception when facing collective problems.

“Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Spiritual Activism Key 10

10. Search Out Viable and Sustainable Solutions

Seek out solutions that maintain or restores the dignity of individual human and their communities. The goal of Spiritual Activism is to raise another up, not make them dependant.

“Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.”
~ Jesus

“We have not inherited the world from our forefathers. We have borrowed it from our children.”
~ Kashmiri proverb

Spiritual Activism Key 11

11. Do Not Judge Yourself Simply By The Results Of Your Actions
Maintain a sense of detachment as to overall results. Embrace mindfulness as you intentionally diminish a judging attitude while keeping watchfulness on the gates of your heart. The ultimate goal of Spiritual Activism is to unconditionally raise the understanding and support of Humanity, with no exceptions. This achievement is larger than any individual. While individual projects can be completed, the sum is so much greater than its parts. Learn to see yourself not on where you have reached, but on the Path you are traveling. There is real fulfillment in just being called to serve humanitarian and spiritual causes.

“Every man stamps his value on himself. Man is made great or small by his own will.”
~ JCF von Schiller

” The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Spiritual Activism Key 12

12. Let Metta Be The Motivation For Your Actions
If you cultivate Metta (the practice of loving-kindness) in your heart, you will succeed. The Intention that is the motivating force behind your actions is paramount. Start from a position of pure and altruistic Love.

“A positive future cannot emerge from the mind of anger of despair”
~ Dalai Lama

“Kindness in giving creates Love.”
~ Lao Tzu

Humanity Healing’s 12 Keys of Spiritual Actvism

Spirituality is active. It’s involved in life. It’s alive in living. It’s there in the marketplace. Within the heart of the city it’s there beating it’s drum.

Your spiritual life is your whole life.

What good is it to sit there silent and feeling holy within the comfort and security of your home? This is not true spirituality. This is not truth embodied. Truth seeks out expression. Yes you need the silence. Yes you need the solitude. And this is what you come back to. This is where you lay your hat and your head at the end of the day.

But in the morn a new day is begun. A new you is made. And you’re given another chance to touch the pulse and passion of life with the very essence of existence which is your own very self.

Humanity’s Healing have crafted a beautiful vision of this active life in their Twelve Keys of Spiritual Activism. They lifted they veil and gazed deeply into the heart of existence. They are active within the world for they know that the world is active within their self. Check out what they’re up to. You may be inspired.

Be well and prosperous.

THE DECLARATION OF EVOLUTION

by Dr. Timothy Leary, Ph.D.

declaration-evolution

THE DECLARATION OF EVOLUTION

When in the course of organic evolution it becomes obvious that a mutational process is inevitably dissolving the physical and neurological bonds which connect the members of one generation to the past and inevitably directing them to assume among the species of Earth the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God entitle them, a decent concern for the harmony of species requires that the causes of the mutation should be declared.

Loving Kindness

The Discourse on Loving Kindness by Buddha

loving kindness

This is what should be done by one who is skilled in goodness and who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright,
Straightforward and gentle in speech,
Humble and not conceited,
Contented and easily satisfied,
Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways.
Peaceful and calm and wise and skillful,
Not proud and demanding in nature.
Let them not do the slightest thing
That the wise would later reprove.

Wishing: in gladness and in safety may all beings be at ease.
Whatever living beings there may be,
Whether they are weak or strong,
The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,
The seen and the unseen,
Those living near and far away,
Those born and to be born, omitting none,
May all beings be at ease.

Let none deceive another or despise any being in any state.
Let none, through anger of ill-will wish harm upon another.

Like a mother protects her child, her only child with her life,
So with a boundless heart should one cherish all living beings.
Radiating kindness over the entire world:
Spreading upwards to the skies and downwards to the depths,
Outwards and unbounded, free from hatred and ill-will.

Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down
Free from drowsiness, one should sustain this recollection.
This is said to be the sublime abiding.

By not holding to fixed views,
The pure-hearted one, having clarity of vision,
Being freed from all sense desires,
Is not born again into this world.

~ Buddha
